ASUS P5Q Deluxe vs. ASUS P5Q-E

What are the differences between those two boards? I see the P5Q-E id $159 and the Deluxe is $199....

Thanks

I believe they are talking about the PCIe slots there. 8 phase is x8/x8 whereas 16 phase is x16/x16 meaning a lot more bandwidth.

If I'm correct both are PCIe 2.0 slots so 8 phase is really x16/x16 and 16 phase is x32/x32 and considering you don't need more than x16/x16 for SLI/CF your better off going with the cheaper of the 2.

16 seems better because its twice as more, so you pay more for it, because you think you're getting more, which is better than less. Marketing 101.

You should be comparing the P5Q Deluxe to the P5Q Pro.

For the differences, I'm not sure. You'd have to search up ASUS site.

My understanding of 8 phase versus 16 phase power is that the 16 phase will provide more stable voltage. Though, that may be true, from what I can gather 8 phase is more then enough to keep stable and OC.

It wasn't long ago that we were using 3 and even 2 phase power. Either way you don't see any reviews on it or even that much info from google searches, that tells me that it isn't a large factor in deciding between boards.
