I need information regarding PCI Express 2.0 cards and my motherboard. I have searched high and low, to no avail, trying to determine if my MOBO will support a PCI Express 2.0 Video Card (Nvidia - ONLY).

How can I tell? I tried the manufacturer's website. No mention.

I have heard that radeon is 2.0 cards work, but only some nvidia cards do.

Anyone have any info for me??

PCI-E 2.0 is 100% backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.0, so any card that uses a PCI-E bus will work.

But being an nForce SLI board, you can only install one ATI card and cannot do CrossFire. For nVidia you can do SLI.

Wow, thanks for the info. I hope you're right. 🙂 A $500 Video Card is a high price to pay if you're not. 😛 No offense, but are there any articles you can point me to to verify your claim?

I'm running 2 9800GT PCI-E 2.0 cards (EVGA, XFX) in SLI on that exact motherboard.

There is a negligible performance difference between PCI-E 1.0 and PCI-E 2.0 motherboards.
