ok i have the above mobo. (asus p5n-e sli)

i have had my ram in the same channel and the same color slots. both ways i get the exact same score in sandra and cpu-z says both ways i have dual channel running. bios does NOT tell whether you are running dual or single channel. so i know of no other way to check for dual channel.

so obviously cpu-z is wrong. i cant have dual channel running both ways.

and since my sandra score was the same. here are my thoughts. please tell me if my thinking is incorrect.

when i have my ram in the same channel it is running in single channel mode
i have my bios settings to:
fsb & memory config fsb - memory clock mode unlinked
fsb (qdr), mhz 533
mem (ddr), mhz 667
wondering if when i am running in single channel mode with both sticks that each stick is running @ 667 in single channel mode

when i have my ram in the same color slots it is running in dual channel mode
i have my bios settings to:
fsb & memory config fsb - memory clock mode unlinked
fsb (qdr), mhz 533
mem (ddr), mhz 667
yet when i am running in dual channel mode the mobo is 1/2ing the mhz so, when in dual channel mode is on, each stick is running @ 333x 2 sticks = 667 ?
am i way off base here ?

so is it possible that i need to set my
mem (ddr), mhz 667
to
mem (ddr), mhz 1334
to have EACH stick of ram running @ 667
for dual channel mode?
