Just asking for some quick advice.
I purchased this board along with an e6300 (L2 Rev.).
I am having a hard time getting this machine to be ORTHOS stable at anything over 2.333 gHz.
FSB 1333(333) RAM @ 667 5-5-5-12 2.187volts

It posts, boots into windows, and run games/3dmark06/PCmark05/Aquamark03 fine at
1600 (400) fsb / 800 ram and 1800 (450) fsb.

Memtest86 (2 hours+ each test) passes at all RAM speeds and CPU speeds.
Tried upping voltage to no avail.

Any suggesstions.

Both are disabled.
Followed all directions on pg92 of the infamous thread.
I can't figure it out at all.
Really frustrating.

my temps are fine as well.
never hit over 50 load on what i think is an incorrect reading in coretemp.
my tjunction is 100. should be 85.

Im also having trouble getting above 2.333 stable same board and bois

Tuniq tower cooler
Placed a fan on the northbridge reporting temps of 48c even with the fan.
wintec 6400 @800mhz 5-5-5-15

I am using unlinked mode and always keeping the memory at 800
2.8ghz will post sometimes
the only setting to pass test is 2.333ghz

Madadam what kind of temps do you see on the northbridge for you? im starting to think its the northbridge holding me back or my cheap cheap memory.

My northbridge is staying cool (around 35-40).
I have the ANTEC NineHundred, so i think the xtra airflow is helping me out on that one.
No clue man, I'm getting really frustrated.
2.33 is all well and good, but I see people hitting 3.15 on stock cooling and I'm getting jealous.

I have no cooling on the northbridge other than the stock heatsink.
I'm thinking it might be our memory.
Mine isn't as cheap as yours (no offense), but it was still a cheap pair.
It's driving me crazy.

Ok im making progress
I updated to bois 505
Im @ 2.45ghz 1.325v
bus speed 350mhz
ram 400mhz 5-5-5-16

Asus probe shows 38c for CPU temp under load however core temp is showing 50c for core1 55c for core2.

CPUID shows my stepping as 2 revision L2
I am starting to worry now i have found some post on this stepping saying that they are rarely breaking 2.8ghz

that really blows, if that is the case.
ill update my bios tonight.
thing is, is that i have been able to get into windows fine at 3.15 gHz, but i fail benchmarks.
orthos runs for like 3 seconds and then dies.
it ran 24hrs at what i am at now.
fudddddddddge.
