Asus P5N-E, E6400 Duo Core, 800Mhz DDR2

Newbie here about to build a budget SLI PC here:

Asus P5N-E 650i SLI
Intel E6400 Duo Core
1gb Dual Channel 800Mhz DDR2
EVGA 7600 GT 256 mb (about to buy second one)
SATA 200 WD
XP Pro SP2
500 watts PSU
Enermax Chakra Case
SB Audigy
etc...

is there any advantage of having dual video card or should i just buy a single card higher than 7600GT? Help please... have not open any boxes.....

Faster single card would be much better. Get a X1950XT

You would be better off with a single card. Unless of course you already had a 7600GT (and could not return it) then it would be a good idea to go SLI.
