I've looked up some stuff about this.. and the hdd ide connector isn't enabled by default it looks like.. a few ppl said to dl the drivers and press F6 when you're installing windows and load the drivers for the IDE
ite8211 ide driver
I opened my motherboard disk on another computer and found the driver and went to make disk.. and tried f6, and loading the driver.. but still when it tried to install it's giving me the error that i don't have any hdd's installed.
I know I can connect to the cd ide and make my hdd the master.. and install windows.. then get it enabled and switch back.. but to be honest.. I'm tired of taking things apart/putting back together.. cause I just spent the whole day figuring out and building this new computer.. also in case I ever have to format again, I'd rather know how to do it without having to take my computer apart.
does anybody know what i'm missing here?
