Just got a system with an Asus P5LD2 mb. Installed and working fine is a WD2500JD sata drive and a Plextor 740 sata burner. I am trying to install an ide hard drive (maxtor 200gb) from my old system into this system as well.
I can't get the system to recognize the ide drive is attached. I have tried combinations of drive jumper (master/cable select) and hooked it up to both ide ports. I can't think of anything else to try. I have also played around with bios setting but that doesn't seem to help.
I guess a simpler question would be, can you have both IDE and SATA drives installed at the same time?
