Anyone got info on when a new bios update will be released to fix this issue? I am trying to decide between this and the DS3R, i dont need the second PCIe slot, but at the same price the P5K does seem like a better deal. It's just the vdroop issue that is holding me back.. I really dont feel like doing the mod either.

I live in Canada so prices are kind of odd.. The Abit IP35-E would be my choice but at $130 i may as well get the DS3R for $136 or the P5k for $136.

Any info would be great.

Thanks

No bios update will fix the droop on the P5K (non-deluxe/premium) board.

It requires a mod.

yeah it's really unfortunate that the damper function doesn't work properly on the P5K non-deluxe/premium.

the p5k non-deluxe is capable of 600 mhz fsb with the right chip!!!
