Asus P5K Premium - no sound :(

Just built a new P5K premium system and everything works fine except for audio. Device manager for Vista x64 doesn't show any error. When I plug my speakers or headphones into the green jack on the back, Windows recognizes that I plugged my speakers into the onboard audio. When I try to play something, the volume meter on the taskbar goes up and down like it's supposed to. I tried plugging the microphone into the back but when I try to configure the microphone, it doesn't seem to receive any input. Any clues?

In Vista you have to select the default audio output device.
