ASUS P5K Deluxe Audio Issues

Hi,
I've connected my Inspire Digital 5700 to the SPDIF and Optical connections and selected the 5.1 surround option.
Sound is coming through my 3 front speakers but not the rear.

Anyone experience anything like this?
