I am building a P5K system with 4G of memory and am looking for a 2x2G product that will work with the board. Any suggestions?

Hey ajschmitt,

I downloaded the manual and in there it says;
"If you install four 1 GB memory modules, the system may only recognize less than 3GB because the address space is reserved for other critical functions. This limitation appears on Windows XP/Vista 32-bit operation system which does not support Physical Address Extension (PAE)."
"If you install Windows XP/Vista 32-bit operation system, a total memory of less then 3GB is recommended."

Of course there could be away around this, I am planning on doing a P5K build as well and would like to get 4 gigs in there myself. I will let you know if I find anything else.

have you guys picked up your P5K boards yet?
i got mine last friday and built it friday night, ive noticed i get occasional hangs in windows for no reason if i leave it alone for 15mins or so.... just no response at all.. ive got all the latest xp updates, bios flash and drivers - all bios settings are stock apart from memory @ 1066 and its in an Antec 900 so it wont be overheating..

any other settings i might wanna check?? the power options are set to stay on forever

I bought the P5K with G.Skill 4-4-4-12 800Mhz Memory and 8800GTX and it is rock-rock solid with Vista 64.

I would run at 800Mhz or less and not overclock and see if that solves it.

I've got almost the same setup. I have no issue at all. See my rig.

Check out my sig for my build. I did not change anything in the bios and everything is solid. No hangups and ran EQ2 on max settings for 12+hrs no crashing. Was kinda slow due to vid card so notched it down. Waiting till the 8900 comes out for vid upgrade.

good luck, love my P5k.
