Asus P5GD2-Premium with 3.6 P4 Socket 775, OC ?

i splurged & got the low-latency Patriot DDR2.

the heat sink fan is the Zalman 7000. the CPU is the intel 560, 1 MB cache, 3.6 GHz before OC.

using the Asus X850XT graphics card. & SATA drives.

i tried disable SPD & setting the timings @ 5-5-5-15.

anyway, it's a good computer. i done near give up on making it go faster, though.

this DDR-800 might be genuinely useful.

what other OC's have people gotten with their Asus P5GD-2 premium motherboards ? anandtech did a review of this a while ago

they got it up to 227 using Crucial. maybe 222 isn't so bad after all.

You realize 4Ghz is about the cap for 1MB Prescotts on air?

2MB Cedar Mill (Single Core Presslers) can hit 4.5-5 on air easily.

how about the dual core 960 ? 3.6, 2 x 2 MB cache, would that be a dual core Pressler ?

Doesnt look like it supports the 65nm chips officially. You might want to drop by xtremesystems and ask what the best "unofficial" chip is.
