Hi,

Are there current revisions on the P5B Deluxe (non-wifi)? If so what is the current revision and what changes have been made. I can't seem to find this info in the P5B/Deluxe thread.

I'm building a C2D rig in the next few weeks and based on info I've read from the forums and AT reviews, I selected an Asus P5B-E mainboard. I discovered that I would want a revision 1.02g board as this allows for upping the VDimm to 2.3v instead of 2.1v as well as control over the Northbridge voltage (for more flexibility in overclocking). As the memory I want is warrantied to 2.2v, this is important to me. The problem is I can't find a 1.02g board easily in Canada.

I am now looking at the P5B Deluxe (non-wifi) which is $40CDN more than the P5B-E. I don't really need any of the features on this board but I really want to ensure a good OC so I am willing to pay the extra cash.

I got an Asus P5B-E a couple weeks ago from Newegg and it was revision 1.01 G. Some has gotten 1.02 G.

That's too bad. Is it hampering your performance/OC at all? I was lucky to read about this issue and am ensuring I can get a 1.02g on the P5B-E or else I will get a Deluxe as I really want a solid overclock that may involve Vdimm and Vmch.

It's annoying because we first read about the 1.02g back in Sept/Oct on Anandtech. How is it possible Asus and retailers still have stock of the old board and are selling it for the same price. Not really fair to consumers.

Oops, this was supposed to be in Motherboards, not sure why I posted it here (by mistake). Could a mod move it?

Thanks
