Asus P5B: 20-pin connector? only digital outputs?

Hi,

1/ Does the P5B vanila have a 20 or 24-pin connector?

I am asking cause I read on this forum that the Asrock ConRoeXFire has a 20-pin connector. Since Asrock I believe is a brand of Asus, I was wondering if perhaps the P5B also uses a 20-pin connector. I know Asrock is cheaper then Asus, but you never know they would do the same on the P5B vanila, which is also not that expensive. Anybody who knows this 100% for sure can please tell? Can this info be found somewhere on the Asus site by the way?

2/ also, does the P5B vanila only have digital outputs (called S/PDIF or something) or does it also have analogue stereo outputs? Will I need to install a soundcard if my stereo speakers only receive analogue stereo inputs?

3/ finally, is the P5B vanila COMPLETELY passively cooled, like on Northbridge, Southbridge, etc..?

I believe 24pin. If you go to newegg (for example) they give complete spec and images...

1. not that I don't believe you, but where can I actually find the info online about the P5B having a 20-pin or 24-pin connector.. If anybody can copy/paste info about this from some online source, PLEASE do!

NOTE: does "ATX12v 1.x" mean 20-bit connector? What should it say to indicate 24-bit connector. I am no tech expert so explain it simple please! 😉

2. confusing.. to the right on the above picture I see 6 colored outputs grouped together.. which colors are the stereo outputs? Also strange there are only 6, cause P5B specs mentions "onboard 8-channel HD audio"?

2.b. Also, on the left there on the above picture there is a green and purple connector.. are those the coaxial and optical S/PDIF-outs?!

1. Power Pin: 24 Pin. 24-pin ATX Power connector.

2. Each connector has 3 contacts and can therefore run 2 channels with a common ground. Only 4 are needed to have 8 channels of output. The other 2 are for microphone in and, I believe, headphones.

2b. Those are the keyboard and mouse connectors. Coaxial S/PDIF is the round connector next to them, optical S/PDIF is the black connector next to that.
