Hi,
i'm new to this forum.i just bought an asus p5a m/b rev 1.03 and i am wondering if there is anyone running the k63 450 on this board.if so how is working?i know that there have been problems with the rev 1.05 and over but that the 1.04 and under are ok to run this processor.
before i run out and buy a k63 i want to make sure i don't waste my money.

Do you mean a K6-3+?

The original K6-3 will work perfectly.
The new K6-3+ should work, as the revision of your motherboard is reported as being one that will work.
 
I had an Asus P5A a few months ago. Sold it with a K6-2 450 in it, but I had a K6-3 450 that was in it. it worked fine, it was a good board. not sure of my revision though, since you just got yours it's probably a newer one than mine which i bought about a year and a half ago at least. But yes it works well.
