ASUS P5-A Mobo - Missing On-Board Sound Jumpers???

The P5A w\sound User's Manual shows 3 sets of 3 (3 x 3)jumpers used to enable\disable the on-board sound. The actual board only has one set of 3 jumpers with "stubs" where the other 2 sets of 3 should be. The on-board sound is totally unsatisfactory and I have installed a Creative Labs model CT4750 sound card on one of my P5A systems and cannot get it to work. Does anyone know a work-a-round? Thanks.
