excellent fair article.

and this:
The standalone P4T533 motherboard is quite different though. The P4T533 utilizes Rambus's new 32-bit RDRAM technology, and only has two RIMM slots, instead of four on the other P4T533-based motherboards. While we have yet to see 32-bit RDRAM based motherboards or memory modules hit the market, the rumor going around is that Asus will indeed bundle 1066 MHz 32-bit RDRAM (dubbed RIMM4200) with these motherboards when they are released. Unfortunately, the quantity or manufacturer of the bundled RDRAM modules is unknown, but we have it from reliable sources that bundling will indeed happen. Nevertheless, until we see actual RIMM4200 modules or P4T533 motherboard on the market, we're going to stick with the P4T533-C

Ah HAH!!
Now how long am I going to have to wait for this now?

Good find! Interesting...

I guess I'll want to wait for the P4T533-E (at least).

I understand that the 32-bit RDRAM will allow us to add one RIMM at a time, but is there any perfromance difference between two 16-bit RIMMs (say 236 Mb) and one 32-bit RIMM (say 512 MB) ???

Thanks!

No performance difference. Ya you can add one RIMM at a time but then again, the P4T533 will only come with 2 RIMM slots instead of 4 (P4T533-C/D). I mean what the hell is the difference? A P4T533-C or D will be be fine. Just get two 256 sticks instead of one 512 stick. What's the big deal?

Nice review. Only 3-5% boost huh? I guess if you already have the Northwood A, its not worth it to upgrade to B.
