Hi

My friend just installed his MB and it is an Asus P4T. We installed everything and when we turn on the computer nothing shows up on the screen not even bios. The green light in the motherboard shows, which means everything is ok. The monitor and the video card are ok because they were tested on another computer and everything came up alright. Anybody have any clue as to what is wrong?

Info:
1.8 Intel Processor
Asus P4T Motherboard
PNY Geforce 4 Ti Video Card
512 Crucial RDR Ram
420 Watt Supply.

Please help!!

well we finally got it to work...messed with the FSB settings. Does anybody know if I should update bios?...I looked at the site but wanted some advice from other people so that I would not mess up my motherboard. I'm going to install XP but right now I have Millenium on.

I read a note somewhere that this MB has the type of problem that you are describing with the early BIOS, 1004 and older as I recall. 1005 is supposed to correct this, in the meantime the solution is to not use the Softmenu for settings, instead, turn on the dipswitches.

Thanks Mike...ya a lotta people say the new bios should fix the problem..and the dip switches made a huge difference.
