I bought this mobo couple weeks ago. However, I just noticed that the sound wasn't working. Then, I checked the jumper configuration, the sound driver and the BIOS, everything seemed OK. I brought my mobo to my friends who understand computer stuff, they couldn't find anything wrong.

Anybody has any suggestions??

did you crank up the volume on speakers? The onbaord sound tends to be weaker. Also see that the volume is not muted or minimized in windows.

I did actually... I checked the volume too. Then, I installed my PCI sound card, disabled the sound onboard, the sound worked just fine. So, I was thinking to buy another sound card. :)

Your not missing much. A $15 sound card would be much better than the onboard sound on the P4T-E.

I guess so... My friend told me the sound on board should be fine enough only for listening MP3s or movies (except for games). I didn't expect that this would happen... :(

Thanks for the suggestion, though.
