Asus P4T-E mobo power problems?

HI It would be nice to find out why when i turn off power at the power point after shutting down the computer the normal way , when restarting i need to go back into the bios and reset evert thing up again , the board defaults , the battery is new and the bios version is 1005 The board Asus P4T-E 850 chipset, rambus ram 256, XP Os any feed back would be realy grate thanks...........

hmmm...i have the same mobo. i would suggest flashing to the latest BIOS. i have BIOS version 1007. it's possible that your problem can be corrected through an upgrade. here is the link to the P4T-E : P4T-E and if you are not sure someone will be glad to help you on the asus board forums: asus forums good luck.
