I have this HP Business computer that was given to me for free and it has a socket 478 with a P4 2.66Ghz processor.

I have no literature on the MB and manuals don?t exist for this MB because it was never released to the public.

How can I tell if this MB will support a P4 3.4Ghz, 800mhz FSB and 1MB Cache processor?

I also wanted to know if I could throw DDR 400 in this thing, right now it has DDR 333 in it.

Some kind of model number might have been assistive. Its crazy I know. The counter guy at the auto parts store refuses to give me parts unless I tell him more information than "I got this car, its a Chevy, with tires and an engine."

After spending 20 minutes searching for what specific HP/CMPQ business PCs might use the ASUS P4SD, it appears that 3.2GHz is the max for both Northwood and Prescott, depending on the chassis you have. e.g. microtower, desktop, minitower, small form factor, slimtower, etc. The Quick Specs show the supported/available processors depending on the chassis.
