getting this message during boot up "No drive attached to fast track controller the bios is not installed." The computer does run but like a pentium 133 I have a pent 4 2.5ghz in this puppy any help ful hints

Could you tell us your system spec?

I'll have a few guesses:

Do you have 2 or more hard drives?
Is your boot drive not connected to the RAID ATA port?

This is usually a problem with how your drive(s) are attached. If you can give more details I can give more help.

Here is the link to the pdf of your manual. Check out page 43 of 144 for guidlines on connecting drives.

I have an Asus A7V8X and if you connect your boot drive to the RAID PATA port, you get the same eror. Asus say it must be your boot drive on this connector, if not using it for RAID and only ATA-100.

Unfortunately, in my case my IBM HD's (75GXP and 120GXP) refused to work as suggested! I hope you fare better than me! It seems the system is more than a little buggy.
