Hi all,
I have to admit that I'm new at this and I would appreciate some feedback. I just received my P4S533 yesterday and started assembling it. I ran into a problem when trying to install my Gainward GForce4 card (MX 420). The TV out connector (the small "box" on the inner/lower portion of the card's faceplate) hits one of the mobos onboard connectors. I believe it was the CD1 audio connector, can't recall for sure.
I'm guessing that the problem is most probably with the case itself and the placement of the motherboard. I'm using a FutureCase that I picked up from Fry's/Outpost. But then again, it's very odd because the AGP card doesn't even come close to sitting in all the way into the slot. I can understand if it goes in all the way and the TV out connector barely touches the mobos onboard audio connector. But it's not like that at all. If the case is bad or the placement of the motherboard is wrong/off, I just don't see how or why the TV out connector will hit a component on the motherboard.
I would hate to have to get another case now and rebuild the entire system. Another option is to look for another card where the TV out connector is not placed in the lower portion of the faceplate.
Thanks for any feedback!
