I'm setting up a new machine

Asus P4S333
Samsung PC2700
Intel 1.6
Asus GF3
IBM HDD
Antec 635 350W

So I dropped in the CPU, memory, and drives. plude everything in and...

It powers up, fans, and HDD spinning, green light on the mobo. No beeps, no voice, no video!

Here what I have done to try to fix it so far:
swapped video card (other video card did nto work either)
swapped RAM (same no video)
Removed and replaced CPU and heat sink

Still nothing... Help

I don't have an extra.

DinoGucci,

I didn't notice it was you, I read your other post regarding your P4S533, and your CPU problem. Tell what switches or jumper did you set to finally get that "No CPU Installed" message.

I have not set any jumpers. I figure that if I don't hear the same message then my problem must be the mobo.

ok great. if you look down where IDE1 and IDE2 and then over to the left where the cpu jumpers are, there are 2 jumpers right on top of each other of 3 pins each either 1-2 or 2-3.
the top is to clear the CMOS the bottom one is for the onthe board speech. if you leave it the way it is [1-2], make sure you plug the on case speaker on to your mobo, so you can hear your alarms. if you put it to the left [2-3] then you can plug speakers in your onboard audio out and you can hear the alarms coming out of one of the speakers. i hope that helped.

dude did you find the jumper? make sure you connect the oncase speaker the right way, the ground where the ground is or volts wwhere volts is, if you are %100 sure you got all your connection right, then its the mobo.

:( I know what you mean Marc , I tried 2 Asus P4S333 mobo and couldn't get either one to even post, also tried a biostar{cheapie} and it would post but was glichy as hell , no sound have the time , every time I tried to install a game it would "freeze". Every time I have tried to build a system using the sis645/961 chipset nothing but problems , luck of the draw I suppose.Yet I built 5 systems using intel i845d chipset and never had a problem, go figure.

I received a Asus P4s533, 512 Samsung DDR2700 ram, !.6a retail Northwood, Antec SX1040. I wasted a whole day trying to figure out why I couldn't see any video,no beeps, nothing. Pulled m.b out three times, tried different video, different ram, no luck. I moved the Antec and I noticed the voltage switch in the middle between 115 and 230. Where it was would power up, but no post. I positioned the switch to 115v, put system together and running at 1.6a default speed (100/16). After an hour I will crank it up and see where I go. I recently formatted and fresh installed Win Xp Pro. Will keep you guys informed.

Check your case switch for proper voltage, I didn't and lost a whole day cussing.

Try pushing your video card in the AGP slot hard. I didn't push my video card in all the way and spent a few days trying to figure out what was wrong.

I'm overclocking a 1.6a Northwood (retail) at 2.4GHZ (150 X 16) with no
problems and stock 1.5 volts. Samsung 512 DDR2700 megs, ASUS P4S533 m.b. CPU is running at 40 c and motherboard is at 29c. Antec SX1040 with 400w p.s. Using thermal pad and stock Intel fan.
