Hi All,
Just built a computer using the Asus P4PE/L/1394/SATA/6-channel Audio board. My question is that it came with a Blue 40-pin IDE connector on the motherboard at a right angel. In the manual it says this is for RAID. Well when I bought this board their was no mention of RAID and that it uses a drive that is connected the RAID port and one drive from either the Primary or Secondary IDE ports to make-up the RAID array. Did I read that correctly?

You can't combine a drive on the blue parallel raid connector with a drive on the primary or secondary IDE ports to create a raid array. You have to combine it with a drive on either of the serial ata ports, or create an array using drives on both of the serial ata ports. Of course, to do this you must have serial ata drives, or have at least one serial ata to parallel ide adapter.
