What brand and model of power supply are you using there? Do you have the secondary and teriary power connectors plugged into the motherboard?

i'm using the
TTGI 420w triple fan psu

i have the ATX +12V pluged in and the big atx power pluged in

it powers up
but nothign happens

i also tried using the ezplu instead of the atx +12v but still nothing

the mobo powers up but
then voice comes up and says "system failed cpu test"???

and i also tried reseating the cpu

I'm unable to find the full specs on that, although Directron lists some of them (thanks, Google). What you might try next is taking the board out of the case and hooking up only the CPU and heatsink/fan unit, the video card (a less power-hungry one if possible), one stick of RAM and the keyboard. That should help narrow down the possibilities a bit.

Also, you might as well plug in all three power connectors, nothing to lose.

I hate to be negative about your PSU :( but it has less 3.3V + 5V power than an Antec 300W SL300 unit. Still, it should be able to get your present bare-bones test arrangement to run unless something is the matter. How about double-check the seating of the CPU in its socket, and the RAM in its socket? Look closely, maybe the RAM is tilted or something?

I haven't worked with the P4PE but voice reporter was enabled by default on the A7V333's I've worked with. As for the PSU, I am just narrow-minded about PSU's and brands I don't know about for sure. "Antec, Enermax, or Sparkle Power" is my usual refrain ;)
