Asus P4PE question(s)

when the computer is shut down... is the mobo supposed to have this green light that always stays on??
its like on the bottom right corner of the mobo...
also, my built-in lan lights stay on too when power is off... is this right?

Yes, agree with PJ, but with a "however." That light stays on as long as you have main power to the motherboard. If, however, you connect your power to a UPS or switched plug box so you can turn main power off - that LED will flicker, fade and go off as well. An ATX board always has power on it as long as you are only using front power switch to turn on and the OS to to turn it off.

Thanks for the additional info corky. I do not use a UPS, but will likely get one soon, so it is good to know.

Exactly.

I will normally pull the plug off, in case of lightning ..... (LOL ... just kidding)

p/s : If you have optical mouse connected, you should also see the mouse's light on.
