ASUS P4PE - PC3200 Memory Supported?

I have an Asus P4PE/L, a 2.4Ghz P4 Northwood processor, and 512MB of PC2100 Crucial Cas 2.5 memory. I am looking into new memory and would like to purchase PC3200 or PC3500 Cas 2, but the Asus website lists the fastest memory at PC2700.

Is anyone using PC3200 (DDR400) memory? If so, are there any problems or known limitations? Has anyone tried PC3500?

One other question. In your opinion, will I experience a noticable performance difference upgrading from 512MB of PC2100 Cas 2.5 to 512MB of PC2700 or PC3200 Cas 2.0 memory?

As always, I appreciate everyone's input and sharing your experiences.

Yes, just as RaymondY said, with the latest BIOS and a "C" revision (800MHz FSB) CPU, PC3200 DDR is supported. However, when you overclock, like I do (P4 2.4B @ 2.7) the 400MHz option in the BIOS also becomes available for the RAM speed. I've tried cheaper, slower RAM at this speed but my system kept crashing (obviously) so I picked up some OCZ PC3200 and now everything is stable.

PC3500 will work, but it's only worth it if you overclock.

Exactly.

No problems.

I have this board with a Northy 2.66b and Corsair XMS 3200 with no issues.

By the time I'm done with the overclock and mem ratios, it is running almost 400 anyway.

2x 256 XMS 3200 would run 2-2-2-5, but for 2x 512 XMS 3200 I had to back down to 2-3-3-6. Ramguy from Corsair says this is more a limitation of the chipset and addressing all that unbuffered memory than anything else.
