i'm getting a new board. which of these should i get? The Asus P4PE or the Abit IT7 Max 2?

One thing i require is an accurate onboard temp monitor as well as decent overclocking abilities.. which of these are the better board for the money?

Abit It7 Max2 V2. I have had both boards, and I would say the Abit is the hands down winner. Is easy to overclock, the voltages are right on and it is just one sweet board. And this is coming from a guy that loves Asus! :D

i had both - go with the abit it7 max2 v2.. i could run my p4 1.8 @2.7 @default voltage with it.. with the p4pe, i needed to bump the voltage to 1.625 to achieve 2.7... oh well it could be that there's error in how the bios/ or monitor reads the voltage...
