Asus P4PE and it's 1.5v AGP slot

Just bought this board to upgrade a system to P4. The system had an Asus v3800 Ultra vid card. The P4PE has a sensor that detects a 3.3v agp card and prevents system damage if detected, and it's detecting the v3800 as 3.3v. If it is or not, I don't know... Asus doesn't exactly have a load of info on their older cards on their site. And in looking for another card, I see it's difficult to determine the voltage on any card... specs seem to be lacking. Anyone suggest a mid level 1.5v card? No gaming, just a fast 2d agp card will do.

Thanks

I have 2 P4PE systems, and both use ATI Radeons - one a 9000 Pro and the other an older 8500. The 9000 Pro does a great job - and has never caused the slightest problem. By the same token, neither has the 8500. They are veryu stable and all Radeons are 1.5v cards.

TNT2 video chip is AGP2X 3.3V. Many AGP2X cards were notched improperly, so they'd fit into any AGP slot even when the slot is designed to NOT fit a 3.3V notched card, but Intel's 4X chipsets won't support a 3.3V card, SiS's P4 chipsets won't, and the nForce lines won't (and all 8X chipsets will not support a 3.3V card).

Incidentally, why in the world would you put a TNT2 card into a Pentium4 system with one of the best motherboards available?

Heh, hey I'm with you, but it's not my ride. I'm doin the upgrade for a friend. He doesn't game, ever. He's into digital still photography. He asked me to upgrade him to a P4, so I picked out this board, a P4 2.4 (gonna oc it to 2.6 most likely) and 3 sticks of Corsair XMS pc2700 256meg mem (tho from reading the manual, I may not be able to use all 3 sticks). Gonna be a hot ride... shame he won't use it to its full potential.
Anyway, I can get an ATI AIW Radeon 7500 for $125 from Newegg... guess that'll be more than enough.

Why didn't you just get him an 845GE board if the memory and processor speed are all that he cares about? Integrated video will work fine for him (in 2D it's perfectly good video) and cost like half the total you're at right now.
