ASUS P4P800SE speakers have popping sound when booting

Hopefully some of you guys\gals can help and tell me if this is normal or not... I just purchased an Asus P4P800SE mb and got it installed with no problems. Only thing that concerns me is that when booting I get a crackling sound\pop from the Z-680's that I have connected to the onboard sound. I've tried unchecking the option to have the MB check each jack when starting, but I still get the sound. I did read somewhere that this is caused by the powerup of the sound chipset and that there's nothing that can be done (short of using a sound card instead). Anyone else have\seen this? Thanks!
