Asus P4P800/i865 - Intel chipset software/BIOS, new versions needed?

Hi there,

I built my current PC back in June and have had the same Intel chipset software and BIOS since then. I was trying to do some reading on the forums to determine if there is any benefit to installing new version (INF Update Utility [INFINST.EXE] (1428KB) 5.1.1.1002 12/12/2003) (and Asus P4P800 Bios 1.0.0.16) but can't find any information.

I believe I currently have Intel INF drivers 5.0.1007.0 (if I am looking in the right place in device manager) and BIOS 1.0.0.9 Final.

Can any other users of this product advise me regarding any benefits from newer software? Just trying to get my system running at top level 🙂

no need to get the new chipset driver.
iirc present bios is up to 1016 but if you have no problems at present then I'd leave your present bios as is!
