ASUS P4P800 Firewire question

The ASUS P4P800 doesn't have firewire built in. But my case has an external firewire port. I was wandering if my motherboard was compatable with that port? Thanks

ditto. dynasty, you seem to answer your own question here, but since you're asking, the answer is no. You need a Firewire controller to plug the case's port wires into, and your board doesn't have one, so it's a no-go.
