ASUS P4P800 Deluxe on board S-ATA

I am running this mobo and cant get S-ATA to work. Do you know if you can use the S-ATA with a DVD-ROM, right now I am running a S-ATA adapter to a DVD-Burner and unable to have windows XP see it. Any ideas????

Some one give me a hand. Can you use a S-ATA CD ROM??? Also what are the settings in the BIOS for this mobo to use S-ATA?? The manual dosent help much.
