ASUS P4C800-E doesn't boot prescott cpus, help

hi folks
I've got a 2.8 prescott cpu, and the mobo won't boot. The cpu is working, 'cause it's running hot, but just simply won't boot. I've got rev. 2. mobo and 1016 bios. It runs on a Asus P4P springdale but not in this mobo. any ideas woul be aprecciated.

is the 12V m/board psu connector plugged in?

switch to 1015bios make sure all plugs are in.It works.
