From my experience, turn off USB legacy support, manually up vdimm voltage to 2.75. The mobo doesn't set memory timings correctly if you set it to SPD so you will need to set it manually. Don't drive yourself crazy though as the 875 chipset mobos have a problem with low latency settings. You can up the FSB for the most performance gain.

And lastly, the motherboard lists the second and third memory settings reversed from the rest of the world so if your memory is advertised as 2-X-Y-6, the bios will have it as 2-Y-X-6. My memory is rated as 2-3-2-6 so in my bios, I have it as 2-2-3-6. Until someone pointed that out to me, I could not figure out why I couldn't get my machine to work.

Thanks for the tips. I will review them this evening.

Should Windows XP Pro SP1 and Windows 2000 Pro SP4 see my system as a dual CPU? Both do. :)

I have one P4 2.4C.

If you are running a cpu that has hyperthreading then yes it will show up as two cpus. And remember that for dual channel to work, you need two sticks of ram that are the same.
