Asus P4c800 Deluxe with northwood p4 2ghz what memory?

I'm helping a family member upgrade , he has a p4 2ghz Northwood 400 mhz fsb and is gonna install on an Asus P4c800 deluxe , I know its a slow cpu for this mobo but he is going from a p2 450 to this so thats a decent upgrade to start with. I am not sure what memory to use with this cpu on this mobo and If I would leave the memory timing to be set by spd? Thanks to anyone that has any input.

I don't overclock and have used Crucial in these boards with no problem.

Any generic sticks of pc3200 DDR will work great. Buy a pair of them so you utilize dual channel memory mode for faster memory bandwidth, which translates to a snappier system.
