Hi
I have an Asus P4C800 Deluxe motherboard and have just bought the Logitech z-680 5.1 speakers. However, I am trying to connect the spekaers via the digital optical connection on teh back of the control panel to the spdif out socket on the motherboard using an optical toslink cable.
But the speaker control panel does not detect the digital connection. I have changed the cable but still nothing.
First of all - is this the right cable to be using to connect the spdif out socket on the motherboard to the optical socket on the cpntrol panel of the speakers??
If it is why isn't it working?
I have had to connect the speaker using normal phono leads going into the phono sockets on the motherboard and they work fine.
Can anyone help??
