I was recently facing the same decision and went with the ASUS only because it doesn't have a Northbridge fan and I want a quiet system. If you are really an avid overclocker, the Abit is better for you. Both boards are great -- either one is an excellent choice.

I have the Asus and it is great stable board and overclocks fine. The Abit has better control over voltage in the BIOS and was designed for the Overclocker. You can't go wrong with either one.

That was one of the toughest decisions I've had to make with respect to computer parts. In the end, brand loytalty won out and I chose the Asus. The OTES feature is cool, literally. Maybe if I were into any sort of overclocking I'd take the Abit over the Asus, but I'm happy with my decision.
