STRESS TESTS

Memtest86 (all 11 tests, 10 loops)
passed upto 2839mhz 167fsb 445ddr 😀

Prime95 (5 hour loop)
passed upto 2839mhz 167fsb 445ddr 😀

well, we're still waiting for Granite Bay ~ so here's a little something for you guys to read 😉

i kept it short and sweet.
do you guys really need to see results for every 5fsb? ~ i didnt think so 😉 🙂

you forgot what revision is the mobo...😉

so the ~165fsb limitation still there...🙁
if i can get some cash...i might try out the abit It7max board...or i will take any donation 🙂

moboard revision is 1.04 ~ seems alot more cooperative then my previous rev 1.02 board.

167 3:4 max was to be expected since thats where this stick of ram topped out on my last P4b533 ~ but on this board im able to get slightly better cas settings (which of course is worth its weight in gold)

...and of course NO COLD BOOT ISSUES at all, ever! 😉 🙂 😀
(cant say the same for i845pe boards)

nice...

mikki: i would...but shipping will cost too much

oh yeah...btw...nice christmax jingle...that just bring out the christmax spirit in me 🙂 lol

I think the cold boot problems are only when you are using certain power supplies (Antec)
anyone without an Antec PS isn't having cold boot problems (from what I have seen)
the P5B533 is a great board!

my Abit BE7 i845pe had cold boot problems using my some old enermax 550w
rolleye.gif

face it ppl ~ its the i845pe chips that have a problem.

ho ho ho 😀

i thought u didn't have any cold boot problems

hahaha 😛
just goes to show that sometimes you guys must "skip" thru my threads 😉

i didnt have any problems till i threw in my 2.26b ~ and thats why i threw it in to begin with, to see if i could enduce problems.
when i finally did (cold boot) i posted them.
i went out of my way to fix the problem but to no avail and STATED PUBLICLY that im abondoning i845pe and i personally dont recommend them.
of course all that took about 4 weeks

(the price i pay for running a "live" thread)

*** my appologies to anyone that bought that board (abit be7) and is unhappy with it ***

😉 🙂

No apologies...I coulda waited to see how all this panned out, but I was bored and wanted a new toy....😉

I am happy i stayed with mine.

I followed you thugsrook with a P4B266-C and then the P4B533 but I think I will stay here for a while.🙂

I dont see myself upgrading till Springdale comes & also slower (cheaper) HT enabled P4's.

lol@mikki

hey thugs...i knew why i missed it...i was on vaca...remember...🙂
that's why...
sorry to bring up old news...lol...😛

couple of things i learned today...
2.26b0 are out except a few places...so we r all hoping c1 will be in next...unless intel still have a stash hidden somewhere 😕

c1 capacitors arrangement might be the hidden secret of their overclocking ability...very interesting...let's help out all folks here to verify or put the curiosities into the trash...🙂

it went 170fsb using 1.7v in 1:1 mode.

it takes a notch more voltage to run in 3:4 mode.
probably has something to do with the direct cpu cache to mem pipeline.
