I had to have a Radeon 9000 Pro video card replaced in an Asus P4B533 system that has on-board audio. The system has been running with an older PCI video card until the replacement card arrives. The graphics works fine now with the replacement Radeon 9000 Pro AGP video card, but now the audio doesn't work. It had just been working fine a few minutes earlier when I shutdown Windows XP to swap the PCI card for the new AGP card.
Why in the world would the on-board audio stop working when I put in the same card that used to be in the system? The POST voice audio also doesn't work, so it's not a Windows XP issue.
