I've never got a straight answer about what these setting actually do. What are the PCI bus speeds locked at under each setting? If you think you know, where did you get the info from?

I've been running 155fsb with Turbo1 for several days now with no probs. I was running 140fsb with Turbo1 for about 3 weeks with no probs, so it seems as though the bus speeds must be somewhat close to spec.

Thanks in advance:D

I've been led to believe that "Turbo 1" is 37/74Mhz. It was posted in one of the forums (Hard, anandetch, Overclockers or somewhere) buy a guy who bought one of those PC Gieger things that (among other things) can check your bus speeds.

I frown upon Asus for being so damn vague about it. They mention it in the owners manual as a performance setting, and the only thing it realy says is"if you have problems with these settings, reset then to normal" So it's basicly a crap shoot more or less. I hope like hell I'm not running the snot out of my PCI/AGP bus right now and don't know it.(150fsb, turbo1) It's been perfectly stable, but I don't need any data corruption or cards going up in smoke.

OK, so the consensus is Turbo1 is 37/74 (i could live with that if its accurate) What is Turbo2? Higher or lower, 33/66 would sure be nice:D

Edit...Just sent Asus Tech support an email asking for info on these Turbo settings. Wonder if they will reply........

As best I recall, Turbo 1 is either 35.6/71.2 or 36.6/73.2...but 37/74 is close enough. Someone over at Hardocp confirmed the locked PCI and AGP using an oscilloscope. I believe they posted the charts, if you want to search for the thread.

Turbo 2, supposedly, clocks the PCI and AGP bus somewhat higher, although I've not seen any oscilloscope tests for it.

I emailed Asus Tech Support to plea for some freaking answers. I know there's some good people in the forums but I want to hear from "the horses mouth". If/when I get a reply, I will post a new thread here.
