Anyone know whats up here??

The system will shutdown normally with no problem but upon starting it back up it goes directly to the bios stating that the CPU speed is set wrong and that it needs to be corrected.

There is no pattern to it.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

I assume you're overclocking and it doesn't like the FSB you set or some other settings. Check the hardware monitor and see if the temperature is out of whack. If your system is running fine and temperature is acceptable, just set in the BIOS to ignore CPU warnings.

Mine does the same thing, whether its overclocked or not. At times mine will restart instead of shutting down. If the APC unit is turned off at reboot, thinking its off, on the next power up it will go into the bios. I've seen a few other posts with the same or similar problems with this m/b. I've tried different bios', even beta ones and it does the same thing. I sure would like to see a fix for this. I'll see how the P4S533 works out since I just got it up and running today.
