i am wondering if i should go for p4t-e with rdram as the cost od rdram and ddr ram are same?
is p4b266 better overclocker than p4t-e?

The P4B266 is usually a better overclocker than the P4T-E, unless you manage to get a P4T-E with ICS clock generator chips. However, at any given speed (especially when you increase the FSB), the P4T-E will be faster.

P4T-E is one of the better overclockers in RDRAM boards, while the P4B266 is better for DDR systems. But there are a number of models available with P4B266 - P4B266 SE/C/E so that you have a better choice.

In general, both are good overclockers, but the P4T-E might be held up due to the fact that RDRAM itself is not too good at overclocking.

DDR P4 motherboards generally overclock more/higher than RDRAM mobos. This is definately true in those two. If you really want to overclock (say, a 1.6A to 2.4 GHz+) then a DDR motherboard is a necessity (with good quality DDR memory: Crucial, Micron, Mushkin, Kingmax DDR2700...)

P4B266 is the better overclocker mobo than P4T-E. Due to the DDR, the P4B266 can be push much higher than P4T-E's RDRAM.
However the performace of P4T-E's RDRAM can compensate with the higher overclocked P4B266.
Both are great mobos but I would prefer RDRAM than DDR SDRAM thats why i would recommend P4T-E than the P4B266. Plus RDRAM cost just the same as DDR nowadays.
