Has anyone that knows anything about this board had a problem with it not being able to use more than one dimm slot at a time.If I put any ram in it one stick at a time 128mb it runs flawlessly, but if I add anymore sticks it fails the Norton ram check even though it shows the right amount.I know Norton can be wrong but even in Sandra I dont get over 300mb of bandwith with Mosel Vitalic ram. Please help if you have any problems like this cause Im going to get a hold of Asus tech today. Thanks in advance

I use the same board in my server, and I have a 256MB DIMM and a 128 and it works fine. I will assume you have tried moving the RAM around to different slots. I can tell you that mine are in the middle two slots.

I have not benchmarked it's speed, but I am running a P3-550 at 733 for the past 6 months with no problems except for lockups caused by heat in my Hotswap boxes.

Ericboo,I have tried every slot with different ram and Im useing the two middle ones right now.The board reconizes the ram but sometimes when I run a application I get a low memory warning even though there is 256mb of ram in it.Do you think flashing the bios my help. Thanks

I am running my system with both Crucial PC133 CAS2 DIMM's and using the latest 1006 bios. It may be worth a shot. Make sure you have all the latest drivers like VIA 4-in-1 4.25 and bios.

I forgot to add, maybe you are having a compatibility issue with two different sticks of RAM.

I have the same board with the same low Sandra score with two sticks installed. Remove one and its significantly better. My guess is it's really the board design. I'm using Windblows ME.
