Asus P3V4X P3-850Mhz WORK?

I just got mu P3V4X in the mail and a P3-850MHz 100Mhz FSB.......poped it in and did't work.....why? Is ther BIOS setting that i need to do or what? it loaded onetime but i ran a progam(Sandra 2001) and it said that i have a P3-13.86 GHz processor.....the few min later it frozze. What do i need to do to get this to work? Is ther a web page that has BIOS settings that are good?
I have:
P3-850Mhz 100Mhz FSB
128mb PC-100 ram
IBM-ATA 100 5400RPM HD

Set the JEN jumper(jumperfree enable) on pins 2 and 3. Set all dipswitches to off. Clear cmos and restart. Your cpu and ram timings will now default. Get it clocked to spec then flash if needed. Can you just hit delete at power on test and reset system defaults. And if you do flash make sure byte merge is disabled in bios setup.
