Does anyone have any experience with this combo? I've read in several places that the Geoforce2 doesn't get along with VIA-chipset motherboards, like the P3V4X. But I really want to upgrade to a Geoforce2. Thanks.

Foe some reason my Creative GF2 doesn't always boot cold on my machine especially if it has been off for some time. It is usually solved by me hitting reset. Also 4x AGP is not entirely stable, but it is getting better.

I have this setup:

P3v4x
P2 450
PC133 generic 128mb RAM
ASUS v6800

no problems here!

I would say that both the Mobo and Card are a little on the sensitive side, I had to return my motherboard right after I got it, but that was a special circumstance

With the new 4in1 drivers from via, the agp fix file (www.viahardware.com)
and the detonator 6.26 drivers, I havent gotten a lockup or shutdown in 1 month...

And that is while running windows Me!!!!

so, i would think that the problem lies in that you may have a bad card or mobo.

Also, keep in mind that you may need to up the voltage if you are overclocking and remember that the stock heatsink and fan on a Geforce 2 ARE CRAP!

I would take a look at some of the websites that show how to install a new, better heatsink and fan for you vid card.

good luck
