Ok I know this is probably an old topic but I finally got enuff parts to throw this thing together. I'm having problems getting it to OC . The Mb is the ICS version it came with 4.17 Via 4 in 1 . I am using a 700 cbo that I know will hit 933 on my BXMaster. I can only get it to 115 FSB @1.80 v. Using a MSI 6905 slocket. Maxtor 45 G/7200.. Geforce 2 gts... maxtor ATA 100 card Aureal SQ 2500 Linksys pci ethernet card and an old ISA modem. What version of 4 in 1 should I be using? Bios on board is 1005. 128 megs kingmax pc150Any Ideas or tweaks would be appreciated.

I know that there is a 1006 version of the bios. I'm not sure what the max speed of the 1005 bios is. Updating might help. Currently I'm running a p3v4x with a 550E at 814 (148 FSB), 256 PC100, 32 MB Geforce GTS, Maxtor 10.2/66, MX300, linksys NIC, ISA modem. I'm having no probs.

What kind of errors are you getting?

I read something some where about cold boot and not being able to OC good. So i waited till I got into windowws restarted then cranked it up .... So far I have made it to 142 FSB.... But man is this irritating... Am I going to have to constantly do this all the time? If so this sucks. I was/ am getting several complete lockups even when not OC'ed.And have to reboot. What version of 4in 1 should I be running...4.25?

Actually, I'm not running the 4 in i drivers, just the AGP driver and IRQ routing table. Window's busmastering drivers seem to work better. You can install just the ones you want.

It really sounds like you got you hands on something that doesn't like the higher speeds.
