ive got a asus p3v4 board that works fine until you try doing more than one thing at a time, as long as your just playing a game or downloading from the internet its fine but if you try and do two things at once, like use your web cam and icq at same time the system freezes, even downloading a file and playing a game at the same time will freeze it, its a celeron 500 with 128 megs of ram so it should be able to handle multiple tasks, does it under win98se and win me, if anyone out there has ever run into this problem please let me know otherwise i think the board is getting replaced.

No prob here. I have had 2 browsers open,Outlook and been playing MP3's (all through a network) and working in PhotoSuite with no problems.

Are you running a fresh install of Winblows?

No, I have BIOS version 1005 (the latest official release) and you still need a special program to enable 4-way interleave.

I use '4wbeta.com' I found on the Overclockers.Au forum. It works very well and I get 375/480 for SANDRA memory tests.

By the way, that forum is especially great for the P3V4X ...

P3V4X, BIOS 1005
PIII 733Mhz@733Mhz
2x128Mb Mushkin PC-133 SDRAM Rev2
Western Digital 20.5Gb UDMA66 7200rpm HD
Kenwood 72x TrueX CD-ROM
SoundBlaster Live! X-Gamer

no im using asus last revivsion of drivers, and the 4in1 drivers rev. 4.24, also tried clean install of windows twice, even pulled all the cards but video and it still freezes doing multiple things, like last night i was downloading a 120 meg file and playing high heat 2000, first time i tried i got to the 3rd inning in the game before it froze, tried again and played the whole game and downloaded the whole file with no freezes, so it dosent happen everytime, making me crazy, just love intermittemt errors haha

Is your celeron overclocked? you didn't say, if it is it may need a bit more voltage.
