Asus P3BF...Cumine ready ?

Hi,

I CANT download the manul from asus site...the server always reinitialize the connection...

I would like to know if the P3BF is Cumine ready ? Of course it would need a slot to socket adapter but is the 1.65V available ?

Should I need a BIOS update ?

Yes it will support CuMines. You don't need a slocket converter if you choose to use a SECC2 cpu. I would update your BIOS as well.

I asked this because I would like to put a Socket 370 cpu that I already have in my P3BF.

So I would only need a slot to socket from ASUS and a BIOS update....

According to dennifloss, if you have a really early version of this board you are out of luck. He's made a number of posts on this, (he owns one 🙁 ) You might want to do a search on this topic.

If I remember🙂 correctly rev 1.03 and up supports Coppermine processors. And you need bios 1004 or higher.

If I dont have a bios higher than 1004 than I need to upgrade the bios. But if my board is rev 1.02 than I am out of luck....

I bought it in last march...Ill check tonight to see the revision...

My board is rev 1.03 and BIOS is 1004. I wont have to do any changes 🙂
